Went away for 3 weeks down sth working on the Riviera.
touch wood it is finally up for the trip up here in 6-7 weeks time.
still going to keep my little tub for the Seaway though,
Bit hard getting in close to the walls in a flybridge lol.
but can see some good nights coming anchored in the seaway over night though cooking fish and eating them as I catch them lol.
That sounds great Sean…we all can come fishing with ya now lol. Let us know when ur doing an all nighter for I would love to join ya. You going to fish for Marlin seeing u have the fly bridge? Can u put a picture up of ur boat…I was thinking of buying one also but contemplating wether to get a smaller boat for easier towing or a bigger boat for more room for ppl on weekends. Gotta think of the fuel consumption also. This is my little putter atm.
Cant find where I have the boat pictures apart from the one
To be honest wth you I’m thinking about selling it and down sizing myself
Yeah great for heading offshore for a week at a time.
But Gold Coast has so many fishing options and a 6m towable boat is what I really want to go back down too.
I sold my 6,2 Quinny coast runner 9 months ago & miss it
Wow that’s a nice boat. That’s what I would like to have but I also need a boat that I can tow. I just need something bigger than what I have and that doesn’t use anywhere as much fuel as my one does. If and when u get this boat to the coast, I would love to come out for a fish if that’s cool
Yeah no worries mate.
I’ll be looking for regular crew when I bring i up here.
Never had to worry down sth, Knew hundreds of people down there.
Boats worth around $80,000
As for fuel, The Riviera costs me less that my 3.8m tinny does providing I’m just cruising at trolling speed.
Last run out we were getting 1nm per litre.
Hoping to travel up around North Straddie or off the Tweed on 2 – 4 day trips
That’s the benefit of bigger boats, Not having to come back in.
Planning on running it up here around the last weekend of February or first week of March.
Weather permitting of course as we plan to fish our way up the coast.
its only about a 3 day trip up from Newcastle, but planning on having 2 weeks on the water to enjoy the run up.
Cool I’ll wait till ya get here and come on a 2-4 dayer with u.
I’m of in the morning on a mates 26 footer fishing boat. The Mackerel R jumping out of the water and ppl r bagging out on the 24’s so that’s where we r going. Let ya know how we go.
