Hi Everyone, I hope you are catching plenty of fish. Just a quick post to let you all know whats happening here on SeawayFishing this year.
I know everyone wants the weekly reports to return but unfortunately that won’t be the case. I do have a long term plan that will enable them to resume but it’s going to take a while. In the meantime, the more you all share the more you will get out of this site.
New articles will be added throughout the year as time allows. Titles and content may change as work proceeds. This year I will be focusing more on advanced lure techniques, fish behaviour and conditions.
Catching Pike for the Seaway Year Round
Foul Weather Fishing – Pushing the Limits of Seaway Fishing
Advanced Soft Plastic Techniques
Advanced Metal Techniques
Understanding the Eddies of the Seaway and why they are important

Lastly, a number of you may have noticed that your membership did not expire last year. Basically if you have made significant contributions to the site(reports, helping other members, some other stuff) you get free lifetime membership after your first paid year. This will be the case going forward as well.
If you have any other topics you’d like to see covered let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
No worries Crag. This is the only site worth posting on now anyway.
Put a picture up of a dead fish on the Facebook Gold Coast fishing sites & they want to track you down & kill you & your family lol.
They need to change their sites to Gold Coast anti fishing Greenies
Yes sean there are a lot of people that take catch and release a bit to far… Craig is a C&R kind of guy but still lets us post dead fish on here…I see Nuggets forum has gone that way, with no pics of Bagged out limits of dead fish laid out on display… and def no blood and guts…. Not from his own doing, Craig has put up more pics of half fish with guts hanging out than anybody..
Hi Richo, sorry but I won’t be back this year. If you have already read the articles and can’t learn anything more from them then it’s unlikely you’ll get your money’s worth for another year. There will be plenty of notice here, when/if I return.
Hi Craig and guys
So does that mean no refresher tuitions this year Craig
I haven’t been out that much so nothing to report on as I’m not finding the time and when I have I have got zip so maybe I’m in the wrong spot or wrong times I still keep reading the reports so keep up the good work guys its all interesting maybe a few tips my way would be a help I’ve been a member of this site a long time now and its always good reading
I won’t say definitely not, but it’s unlikely. There’s still plenty of fish in the seaway to be caught, I still get reports from others up there and not much has changed. Lots of GT’s, Bigeyes, Tailor, Jewies, Kingies even some squire kicking around at the moment.
Everything you need to know to consistently catch fish in the seaway is written on the website right now. The only extra stuff I can add(and will do in time) is fine tuning techniques and giving you a greater understanding of fish behaviour.
Planning your trip is key to success. Knowing what the tide is doing is critical, as is using the right technique at the right time.
