I finally got out Sat morning for a bit of a look in the seaway. Threw a few minnows around the north wall wash at daybreak, no touches, headed out to get bait and played with a few small tailor. Came back in for end of run out at the pipe. Had one yakka taken and dropped, then another that screamed off and didn’t stop till it busted me in the pipe. Keen for some big jewie action this winter.
Still a long way off FT, anything can happen. Has there been much bait around? As that is what will drive the GT’s to the surface. If no bait you can probably pick them up on the troll early mornings and late afternoons if the tides are right.
