I have been wondering lately, is it just me or are clicks getting more expensive in dating ads? I started running Online Dating Commercials a while ago, and at first things looked fine. But after a few campaigns, my CPC kept creeping up, and I couldn’t figure out why.
The frustrating part was that even when I tweaked budgets, the cost per click didn’t drop much. I tried increasing bids thinking it would improve performance, but that just burned more money. Then I went the other way and lowered bids, but that killed impressions. It felt like I was stuck in the middle with no real control.
What actually helped me was going back to basics. I noticed my targeting was way too broad. I was trying to reach everyone instead of narrowing it down. Once I focused on a smaller, more specific audience, my CPC started dropping slowly. Not instantly, but enough to notice a difference.
Another thing I tested was changing creatives more often. I used to stick with one banner for too long. When I rotated fresh images and slightly different ad copies, I got better engagement, and that seemed to bring CPC down as well. It’s like the platform rewards ads that people actually interact with.
I also paid more attention to timing. Running ads all day didn’t make sense anymore. I started tracking when clicks were cheaper and paused ads during expensive hours. That alone saved a decent chunk of budget.
Still experimenting, but I think the key is not chasing shortcuts. Small adjustments in targeting, creatives, and timing seem to work better than any quick trick.
