One of those trips by the sounds Briggsy, hope the motors a minor problem. I think the waters just too clear on high in seaway and baits just been hard to get in the broadwater at times. I went out Sunday morning, got a massive sea mullet in cast net which went into esky (fond memories of sea mullet with old man), then only a 40cm pike and small mullet. Tried north wall at dawn start of runout, pike taken instantly by a 65 cm jew then a missed take on the mullet. Down to scottish prince for a few tailor and yakkas, back for bottom of runout at pipe, got a 90cm jew then monstered by something in the pipe after a 10min slugout..acted like a big shovelnose.
A previous post i said i used size 6 ball sinkers to get livies near the pipe when anchored…checked the pack when restocking tackle box….its size 9.
