I had my first run out the other day in my little poly,
Couldnt find any livies So we just pretty much looked around & flicked a few lures around for 2 tailor & 3 Golden Trevs.
I decided after the last session that the poly boat just isnt big enough for what I need in the seaway.
So today I went out and bought a better boat that will suit the seaway & get me comfortably out to the live bait grounds outside.
As for Kings in shallow water, yeah your 100% right, you lose 90% of the battles with them,
But that to me is more fun than catching them every time.
Some of my most memorable days chasing kings in Jervis Bay seen us go through over 100 Livies, a spool of leader & 2 packets of live bait hooks without landing a fish.
Now I want to fish the weather has turned ugly lol.
