You got me thinking now! I have previously owned 2 pflueger trion rods and snapped them both, they ere 1-3 kilo rods. The first one I snapped the tip off whilst trying to get out of a snag, and the second rod snapped at the mid section high sticking. Not good reasons to buy another, but I must say whilst I had them they were an awesome rod and would like to try the 2-4 kilo
