Managed to get out for a fish on saturday at around 1pm til 8pm, pretty quiet though. Managed a couple of tailor on minnows around the north wall but that was all we landed. We did find some nice yellowtail kingfish (70cm-90cm)feeding on the southern side of wavebreak for about 5 minutes but they wouldn't hit any lures we tried. Apparently they were feeding on the wavebreak flats on sunday morning but I didnt hear of any captures. Nothing over the pipe or in any of the usual areas we looked at. Plenty of bait holding on the wavebreak flats and on the south eastern point of wavebreak but I didn't see anything into them. Lots of boats around and nice conditions but for some reason the fish weren't that interested. Saw Kane out there but not sure if he got anything.
Sorry this was on the Sunday the 17th 🙂
You get a few here and there, like you said when the schools come its a lot better, really like to just drift both walls as well as casting at the rocks. good fun when the bite is on…Still haven’t got my Salmon this year have you got a report on that?

Hey Craig
I didn’t go out Saturday but we did encounter a few bust ups around south wall of wave break towards the tower but no luck on the slugs… through out the day we drifted the bream reef and drop at north wave break using live bait had a few busted off so no rewards there. Shortly after we trolled the banks of wave break with pink mullets hard bodies and picked up a pair of flathead in the 40’s then moved over to the croc hole with soft plastics using pink curl tail grubs only 1 undersized flathead and an undersized moses perch the rest of the day was pretty ordinary with loads of bream and small flathead.
