The best white pilchard imitation so far
Among the latest lure releases online were these Fish Arrow Flash-J 3" in Glow Silver, now that I have a pack here to look at I'm very impressed, easily the best white pilchard imitation I've yet seen. They have a metallic foil insert which imitates the silver belly section. A bit expensive at around $13.00 a pack for only 5 plastics so not something you want to be throwing at tailor or pike, but would be ideal for fussy tuna and trevally. A finesse plastic they should be ideal for dropshotting.

Hi Howard, I dont use a jighead on these plastics as they wreck the profile and destroy the head. I use a split shot rig which is basically a single dropshot hook pinned once through the nose of the plastic and about 30cm up the line a single split shot 1/8th oz to give it casting distance. This rig works fine on the GT’s currently in the broadwater as i gave it a good test out today(report tomorrow), a bit too early to tell but it seems to work better than slugs cast into schools.

g’day craig,
I was just wondering what size jig head you would run on these plastics? They are by far the best imitation i have seen and would be keen to try a few out.
