Well I moved to the Gold Coast for clean warm water
What do I get here now, Cold Chocolate coloured water
Down Sth in Newcastle the Kingfish are going off with most fish coming in over the magic 1m+ mark lol.
I hope it picks up here soon before I head back down sth for some magic fishing they are getting early this year.
Mate I think we’re all sick of the northerlies and resulting water, typical for Oct – Dec here though i cant quite remember it this bad. My last few trips have seen zero tailor in the wash and zero on live bait apart from a good fish suspected jew that got me in the pipe the other week. Bit of SE this weekend then back to bloody north, hopefully not too much longer and it swings back to mostly SE late Dec which will some spotty and spanish mack action. Gordo
A couple of links below given the northerlies and amount of rain the coast has had, you may have read them already. Summer is always a challenging and frustrating time to fish, but the rewards are oh so great if you persist.
Well looking at the Northerly winds that you mentioned in that first page,
When there are long northerly winds your better of heading north to Morton bay as the water actually looks pretty warm still in there.
