I took my wife out today & that being said we didnt get there till pretty late.
Think about 6am.
Tried micro jigging & chucking lures at the 2 wall ends for zip.
What was really peeing me off was that bloody surf taxi.
He really couldn’t care less by driving between me & the end of the wall, any chance of a bust up there was dam near impossible with him running across close in front of the north wall.
I’m still having massive problems finding livies inside the seaway so I’ve found a guide to take me out n show me where to get these Yellow tail pike & cast throw nets at herring.
Think once I get that sorted out I’ll have better luck.
Went up near crab island & got a few flatties on plastics though.
Now I have to stay awake all night to catch the livies & fish all day with them lol.
Man needs his sleep to lol.
I’m so used to hitting the ramp down on the Central Coast, heading over to the live bait grounds & loading up with 60 plus yakkas n slimmies & heading off to downrig for Kingy’s.
But thanks mate.
I suppose I really should just head out a few days just targeting livies in the Seaway.
The biggest problem I suppose i have in the seaway is that the tidal flow roars inside the seaway,
No real place to lay a burley trail to bring fish to the boat.
But i think paying for a guide will save a lot of time & fuel running around trying to find livies.
Well it looks like I might of got the cast netting sorted out.
Some guy down at the jetty today taught me his way of catching herring & said they are pretty much every where in the seaway.
Think I’ll be heading out for a practice with the net first & spend a whole day trying to catch yellowfin pike without thinking about trying to fish the pipe.
